For a considerable distance between Vance and state highway 41, Ranch-to-Market Road 335 has cliffs rising above the road on the west side and drop-offs on the east side plunging towards the Nueces River or Hackberry Creek. Sometimes when drivers meet deer on this highway, the deer don’t have an easy escape-route off the thoroughfare.
